Aristotle on friendship

Aristotle’s friendship is about … well friendship he claims that there are three kinds of friendship utility pleasure and goodness
He believes that utility based friendships are about people who are only friends because its useful to their goals he says that these friendships are not permanent that “when the motive of the friendship is done away, the friendship dissolves.”
And pleasure based friendship is based on their interest and enamor in a subject
But above all he believes that the only pure friendship is friendship that is based on goodness. He says that these friendships are rare and it’s a perfect friendship if it is based on the “men who are good and alike in virtue”
I believe that the song Find Out Who Your Friends Are by Tracy Lawrence is a fairly good rendition on how to know who your “true” friends are because it proves that “you find out who your friend are” when you need them most and there not there to give a care about what’s in it for them or how they get there
